Our client, an FMCG company based in South West London, is looking for a dynamic Finance Assistant/Analyst with strong attention to detail to provide key finance operational support. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to grow and develop within a company.
 
Key Responsibilities
 

  • Input approved customer pricing in both finance and sales operation systems. Check, investigate and resolve any pricing discrepancies on orders. Liaise with Account Managers to ensure all prices are submitted and recorded for.

  • Ongoing maintenance for PO dataset, issuing of PO numbers and allocation to the correct cost centre.

  • Ensure all departments maintain accurate spend trackers, review spend and required accruals.

  • Provide accurate and timely coding of invoices.

  • Manage the accounts payable mailbox, escalating to colleagues where appropriate.

  • Prepare/assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly sales reports.

  • Run pre & post promotional analysis and work with the FP&A Analyst to support the automation of current reporting to improve business insights and availability.

  • Assist the support and sales team with system-based queries.

  • Maintenance of existing data structures through regular data reconciliation, data input, uploads and cleansing.

  • Support the NPD forecast process by compiling a forecasting dataset and liaising with the NPD team to assist with the setup of new product codes and costings.

  • Support the finance team in maintaining other existing processes and controls, as well as to support the testing and implementation of the new CRM and ERP system.

  • Liaise with the marketing, supply and product development teams as required to facilitate good cross-team alignment.

  • Ad-hoc reporting and administration as required to meet the needs of the business.

 
Requirements:
 

  • Proficient MS Office skills (Intermediate excel skill is essential)

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), enthusiastic and inquisitive.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to collaborate with individuals across departments.

  • Motivated, confident, self-starter with solid organisational skills

  • Process-driven individual with a can-do attitude

  • Ethical behaviour when dealing with sensitive financial information.

  • Numerate and good problem-solving skills

  • Team player with a flexible approach

  • Previous experience in Confectionery industry or Manufacturing / FMCG.

  • Good understanding of accounting procedures, part qualified or studying towards an accountancy qualification.

  • Experience working within international organisations.

  • Previous experience working in TM1 and Oracle Netsuite
