Our client within the FMCG Sector are looking for an Export/Import Supply Chain Coordinator to join their Richmond office.  They are seeking a detail-oriented business professional to work in our Operations team, providing Supply Chain support for a number of International markets.
 
The main purpose of this role is to manage all Import and Export logistics and documentation requirements as well as wider Supply Chain coordination Internationally.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Coordinating freight forwarders and customers’ freight agents
  • Managing Import / Export shipments ensuring on-time delivery to BCBI 3PLs and/or customers
  • Ensuring suppliers and customers comply with the Export / Import documentation regulations
  • Ensuring stock is received at the right location in the system
  • Processing orders for Middle East, Korea and 2 key Europe customers
  • Liaising with 3PLs, Sales team and customers regarding order queries
  • Reviewing and approving freight and warehousing invoices
  • Regularly reconciling stock at the 3PLs
  • Liaising with the Sourcing/QA/Marketing team to ensure all legal documentation requirements are met
  • Actively seeking improvement on distribution process to reduce cost
  • Assisting 3PLs with all required data to create Intrastat declaration
  • Identifying and resolving shipping issues and creating best practice
  • Ad hoc activities to support Head of Supply Chain and the wider team
 
Requirements: 
  • Excellent understanding and working experience of Export/Import Documentation and Requirements
  • Knowledge of the logistics flow and process within an FMCG business
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Analytical and accurate
  • Having a ‘can do’ approach
  • Excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
