Logistics Coordinator Kingston upon Thames

Our client an IT company based in Kingston have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join their growing team. Due to expansion this is a new role and it is a fantastic opportunity for someone to grow and develop within an organisation.

Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Shipments are coordinated and delivered within required lead times
  • Orders are accurately prepared, and equipment managed while in custody
  • Commercial invoices are created and sent to the warehouse in time for the shipment to be dispatched
  • Goods / products are classified accurately and timeously
  • Reviews customer export documentation to ensure it is in line with the originally quoted requirement
  • Provides consistent and clear feedback on delivery status to internal and external stakeholders
  • Actively identifies and mitigates risks to the shipment process
  • Logistics is accurately and regularly updated and maintained
  • Signs off shipments and sales orders
  • Ensures timeous dispatch (sales order and physical equipment) from warehouse
  • Proactively shares ideas for process improvement, automation or creation
  • Provides feedback on service provider delivery and makes recommendations for improvement where required
  • Customs forms are accurately and timeously completed
  • ECCN, HTS codes and compliance documentation are updated and filed efficiently
  • Provides input and assistance to audit purposes and processes
  • Improvements to import / export controls are effectively implemented when tasked
  • Order / quote compliance risks are communicated and resolved
  • Resolve freight invoice queries, assigning costs to the appropriate GL
  • Aids in management of the working and communication relationship between operations and sales team members and identifies processes to be improved
  • Provides cover for colleagues, especially other Logistics Controllers when required
  • Provides reports detailing licenced shipments from the UK and HMRC report
  • Provides contribution to back-order report
  • Uses available systems to their full potential to provide meaningful data to stakeholders
  • Project status reports to internal / external stakeholders
  • Builds credible working relationship with suppliers and partners
  • Acts as negotiation lead where appropriate to obtain maximum benefit
  • Performs regular quality evaluations on partners and ensures partner commitments to company SLAs are upheld
