Part Qualified Accountant
Dynamic, fast growing company are recruiting a part qualified accountant to join the finance team on permanent basis. This opportunity has study support and would suit a career focused individual who is studying CIMA or ACCA and has experience with accounts payable or purchase ledger.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supporting the finance department, and management team by completing routine clerical and accounting tasks for the month end procedure reporting back to the Finance Manager and Director.
- Responsible for the day to day running of the purchase ledger function
- To ensure the integrity of the purchase ledger in various currencies including Euro, GBP, US Dollar, Yen and Thai Bhat.
- To set up new supplier accounts in the accounting system
- To ensure all purchase order invoices are matched and posted against the relevant purchase orders on receipt of goods
- To resolve all queries with the suppliers and the Purchasing Department and ensure prompt resolution of queries.
- To process overhead invoices directly into the system ensuring the correct coding to support cost centre reporting.
- To post manual payments and allocate against suppliers accounts - To ensure suppliers statements are reconciled on a regular basis
- In addition, you may also be asked to be responsible for one or more of the following
- Liaise professionally with internal/external customers, suppliers and company employees by phone, email and fax to resolve queries and other issues
- Processing ad-hoc payment requests received, raising a journal for payment and posting to the relevant nominal ledger or Accounts Payable accounts.

- Data Entry; Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent Skills With Microsoft Office
- Payroll Experience
- Experience in Balance Sheet Account Preparation; Detail Oriented;
- Organised; Timely; Competent IT Skills
- Strong Bookkeeping Skills; Knowledge of Business Math
- Understanding of Budgetary Principles
- Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills
- Strong business partnering experience with a proven ability to interact with senior management and influence outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude.
- Team player.
- Basic Excel skills (V-look up, pivot tables).
Good to have:
- Previous experience of Double entry Bookkeeping.
- Experience in Net Suite/ Oracle - Previous experience in Confectionary
- industry or Manufacturing /FMCG.
- Part Qualified or Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA).
- Experience working with international organisations.
- Fluent in a 2nd foreign language, in addition to English.
- Well organised and motivated team player.
- Able to work calmly under pressure & meet specific deadlines.
- Work on own without close supervision Clear, confident communication skills
