Our audio- visual client may have the role for you, they are on the lookout for a well-established senior audio-visual technician to join their team in Acton. This senior role is ideal for a candidate who is knowledgeable and confident within the industry.
The candidate will be reporting to the technical manager and will be expected to set an example of the company's standards.
Responsibilities of a Senior Technician :
Oversee junior technician's and take charge of installations / projects
Assist with technology purchasing decisions
Working in pre sales alongside a sales team member dealing with customer technical contact
Maintaining up to date expertise to support the team - through training colleagues and reading blogs
Maintaining ability to work (and lead projects) with a broad range of hardware
Being able to 'own' complex problems, and design solutions
Servicing and maintaining equipment to the highest possible standard.
Maintaining accurate records for stock and quality control.
Testing devices, hardware and equipment
Imaging, preparing and installing computers for clients
Using device management systems to configure iMacs, Tablets and VR headsets
Installing, servicing, and operating larger equipment's
Answering technical support queries
Specification of a Senior Technician :
Solid commercial IT support or Event Tech experience
IT & AV hardware knowledge
Valid driving license with experience driving transit sized vans (Preferred)
Comfortable lifting and manoeuvring servers with larger screens
Works well under pressure
