Forklift Operative - Bakery Warehouse
Location: South West London
Monday - Friday plus one Sunday in three
Salary: £28,000
Position Overview
Our client is a wholesale bakery based in South West London. They are dedicated to being the finest producer in their field. The company achieves this by using traditional, time-honoured baking methods to create the highest quality products for their customers.
As a Forklift Operative, you will be essential to the bakery's daily operations. You will manage the movement of materials between storage and production. Your work ensures the supply chain runs smoothly and safely across different sites.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials from a variety of vehicles.
- Move pallet-packed goods safely around the warehouse.
- Check that all loads are secure before moving them.
- Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance.
- Follow instructions and keep accurate records of stock.
- Adhere to all health and safety working practices.
- Drive between local units to transport materials.
- A valid FLT Counterbalance licence is essential.
- A full UK driver's licence is required.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
- An Aislemaster (bendy) forklift licence is highly desirable.
- Physically able to perform manual handling tasks daily.
- Good organisational skills for managing inventory.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
